International Coastal Cleanup Miami-Dade

It’s time for our annual signature event, the International Coastal Cleanup! But like most things in 2020, we will be doing it differently this year. During the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, we all must focus on staying safe and healthy. Even as we practice social distancing, there is still plenty we can do to protect our ocean from plastic pollution and we are asking ocean lovers everywhere to #CleanOn NEW FORMAT FOR 2020 Cleanup Season: Sept. 19th - Nov. 1st Event Details: http://www.volunteercleanup.org/icc This year, to ensure safety and comply with all COVID related restrictions, instead of a large one-day event with large group cleanups, we will be hosting a cleanup season from September 19th-November 1st. During this time, you can participate in two ways: Join a small group cleanup Find an organized small group cleanup at volunteercleanup.org/find Deering Estate is also hosting small cleanups. Please contact them directly Do your own #SoloCleanup You can participate as often as you'd like! And we even have prizes for those who do the most! You must adhere to all local guidelines for mask wearing in public and social distancing. Review the Miami-Dade County emergency orders. No gatherings more than 10 people are permitted at this time Locations can be your favorite beach, shoreline park on Biscayne Bay, waterway by paddlecraft or even your neighborhood Please read on for details and resources that allow you, your family, friends, and community an opportunity to make an impact during the 2020 ICC season.
